Safety
- Carefully remove all leaves, debris and other residue from the pool.
- Reduce the water level until only 24" (two feet) remains at the bottom.
- Check the base of the pool for any leaks.
- Plug any leaks you find.
- Remove any wrinkles from the liner.
- Remove and store your filter, ladder, etc.
- Treat the water using a special winter kit.
- Never hit a frozen pool: this could cause major damage.
- Wait until spring before doing any work on the pool.
